
This is something I stumbled upon on the internet. It's a great example of text being used as texture and at the same time effectively communicating an idea: Just because something is "legible" doesn't mean it communicates an idea.
This poster was done by David Carson who is known for his experiments with typography and magazine designs.

I never noticed this 20/20. It was most likely aired. But, true never use Comic Sans in Design. It's too much of a childish font. Legibility is communicating an idea effictively and I agree the Design itself doesnt necessarily have to be legible
I checked the website that you posted and find some other great work too. And there is always good to learn from some differnt source. So that you will have open mind to create your works.
